Accessibility Statement

CWT Studio builds this site so that people using a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, voice control or reduced-motion settings can read every page and complete every action on it. Accessibility is built in as pages are built, and it is checked whenever a page changes.

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We describe the site as partially conformant, which means most of the site meets that level and the exceptions we know about are listed below. We do not claim full conformance, because a claim we have not verified across every page would be worth nothing to the person relying on it.

• Semantic headings in order, landmark regions, and one main heading per page.
• Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Dialogs and menus trap focus while open, close on Escape, and return focus to the control that opened them.
• Buttons and links carry accessible names, including icon-only controls.
• Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels on small screens, and hit areas do not overlap.
• Text and interface colours meet at least 4.5 to 1 contrast for body text and 3 to 1 for large text and interface boundaries.
• Animation respects the operating system reduced-motion setting, and decorative motion is replaced with a static equivalent when that setting is on.
• Form fields have labels, and errors are announced to assistive technology, never signalled by colour alone.
• Images carry alternative text, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from assistive technology.
• Content reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling at 320 pixels wide.
• The layout works at 200 percent zoom without loss of content or function.

• Booking flow. The scheduling step runs in an embedded third-party tool whose accessibility we do not control. If it blocks you, email us and we will book the time by email instead.
• Downloadable documents. Some PDF resources are not fully tagged for screen readers. Ask and we will send the content as accessible HTML or plain text.
• Diagrams. A small number of architecture diagrams carry a short text alternative. A written walkthrough of any diagram is available on request.

The site is checked with keyboard-only navigation, with VoiceOver on Safari, with NVDA on Chrome, at 200 percent zoom, and with reduced motion enabled. It should work with other current combinations of browser and assistive technology. If your setup produces a different result, that is a fault worth telling us about.

Any content on this site is available in an accessible alternative format at no cost. That includes accessible HTML, plain text, large print and a read-aloud walkthrough of a diagram or document. Tell us which page and which format, and we send it within 10 business days.

Email shannon@thecwtstudio.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. We acknowledge within five business days, tell you the fix or the workaround, and give you a date. There is no form to fill out first, and you can also reach us through the contact page.

We operate in Ontario and take the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act as our baseline for customer service and information. Communication and support are provided in a manner that accounts for a person's disability, and a request for accommodation during an engagement is handled without extra charge.
