What Is Claudeforce? What the Salesforce and Anthropic Partnership Actually Ships
Claudeforce is the expanded Salesforce and Anthropic partnership announced August 26, 2026. Here is what it ships, when the beta opens, and what it changes for revenue teams.
Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce on August 26, 2026, during the Salesforce Q2 earnings call. The name covers an expanded partnership with one shipping product at its center: Salesforce in Claude, a plugin that lets sales teams read and update live CRM data from inside Claude without opening Salesforce.
The announcement produced a wave of coverage because it reverses the usual direction of enterprise AI. Most vendors have spent two years putting AI inside their software. Claudeforce puts the software inside the AI.
What Salesforce in Claude does
The plugin ships with 37 prebuilt sales skills, covering work sellers already do every week: meeting preparation, deal health review, pipeline review, and account planning. A seller asks a question in Claude, Claude reasons over the live org, and the answer arrives with the option to act on it, updating records where the user allows it.
Access runs through existing Salesforce permissions and sharing rules. Claude sees what a given user is authorized to see and can do what that user is authorized to do. An admin connects the org once and the whole team is covered under the permission model already in place. That reuse of existing permissions is what makes the product deployable.
When it is available
Salesforce in Claude is with select pilot customers now. Open beta is planned for September 2026. No standalone pricing has been announced.
The partnership extends beyond the plugin. Claude becomes the default model inside Slack, and the two companies have committed to further integrations across Claude, Salesforce, and Slack. Salesforce's investment in Anthropic was valued near five billion dollars as of mid 2026, so the commercial commitment behind the roadmap is real.
What it means for a revenue team
The practical change is where CRM work happens. Pipeline review, deal inspection, and pre-call research move into a conversation. The record-keeping that sellers avoid because it requires clicking through screens becomes something Claude does on their behalf, governed by rules the admin controls.
The dependency underneath all of it stays the same. Claude reasons over the org as it exists. Stage definitions, field completeness, naming conventions, and record ownership become the raw material of every answer the model gives. An org that produces unreliable reports today will produce unreliable AI answers in September, delivered with more confidence and less friction.
That is the work to do before the beta opens, and it is work most teams can complete in weeks. CWT Studio builds and repairs Salesforce backends for exactly this moment: field architecture, pipeline standards, and reporting that holds up when a reasoning model starts reading it. Book a 30-Minute Intro and walk into the beta with an org worth pointing AI at.
